This year Los Naranjos Golf, faithful to its commitment with women’s golf, pays homage to the Solheim Cup by dedicating it the emblematic Ladies Open. It will take place on the 5th of March and will be played in the modality Four Ball. Los Naranjos will celebrate International Women’s Day in style. The event will count with a welcome pack, a refreshment area, great prizes and a lunch accompanied by live music. As usual, this annual event for amateur golfers will be fully booked, so it is best to get your place as soon as possible.
International Women’s Day is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women’s achievements or rally for women’s equality. At Los Naranjos GC, they celebrate with the first Major: the Ladies Open.
With the slogan of “an exclusive event organized by women for women” this tournament meets all the requirements to ensure an absolute success. In the first place, it is a tournament played in pairs, achieving a feeling of fellowship between the players that are competing together. The welcome pack, made up of balls from the prestigious Srixon brand, will welcome the players who must be ready to start at 8.30AM. The start of the tournament will be announced with a shot. The buggy is included making it easier for all couples to reach their holes in time to enjoy the magnificent and always impeccable course.
The refreshment tent will welcome you with snacks and drinks as you pass between holes nine and ten. It will give you the chance to regain strength and chat for a few minutes. The best is reserved for the end; lunch with live music will be the moment for reunion and celebration, followed by the prize-giving ceremony for the three best couples in each of the categories, the longest drive and the closest to the pin. The draw will put an end to this very special day.
The big difference this year will be the presence of the Solheim Cup as a special guest. Several Solheim ambassadors have already confirmed their attendance at the Ladies Open, which this year is sponsored by PING.
