Which teams will be the protagonists of the 2023 Solheim Cup?

The European Solheim Cup Team 2023
The 12 players are members of the LET (Ladies European Tour) and will be selected under the following guidelines.
- The two highest-ranked players in the LET Solheim Cup rankings. All points accumulated in ranking events will be taken into account. In the event of a tie, the victorious player shall be the player with the highest Rolex Women’s World Ranking at the end of the qualifying period.
- The top six players in the Rolex Women’s World Rankings at the end of the qualifying period. Those players who have not been selected in the previous point will be chosen. If there happens to be a tie, the player who accumulates the most points in the LET Solheim Cup rankings at the end of the qualification period shall be the winner.
- As a final selection process, the European Solheim Cup Team Captain will have the right to choose four more players to complete her customized team.
The U.S. Solheim Cup Team 2023
This team will consist of 12 players from the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) and the rules for the playoff follow the same process, but in this case, the selection rules change (in terms of the number of players) concerning the European team.
- The top seven players on the U.S. Solheim Cup points list at the end of the qualifying period are selected.
- The two players with the highest ranking in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings at the end of the qualifying round will be selected. In the event of a tie, the player with the most U.S. Solheim CUP points at the end of the qualifying period will be selected.
- The U.S. team captain will choose three players to complete her grouping.
